Najaf abad is a town which is the capital of the county,najaf abad has an area of about three thousands and 750 hectares and is located in the road of ISFAHAN to KHOOZESTAN,is located on the 32̊,38̍ northern and 51̊,22̍ eastern and has a height of 1600 meters from the sea surface.this city is the superhighway of Isfahan to western,north western,and south of IRAN,and has a strategic,economic role.it's weather is somewhat dry and has an average temperature of 12.8 ̊c as the most temperature and 6.2 ̊c as the least temperature.in this city industry has had a strong impact and has caused employment of many people.mechanical industries in this town consists of industries which are related to iron and steel(like iron melting),refinery and military industries also pharmacy,alimentary,edible industries and so on.

Islamic azad university of najaf abad is one of the most famous universities inland and outland,in the present time.it was established on the fourth of DEY,1364,and had an area of about 140 hectares.it's located on the north of najaf abad on the hillsides of the mountains of this region.now it has an area of more than twelve millions (m2)
And an infrastructure of more than 250 thousands(m2),which includes,electronics,computer,civil,nursing,medicine,geography,…in different sections,to train experts.
